  About the Band

  Based in the London Borough of Bexley, Belvedere Concert Band has gained a reputation as one of the leading concert bands in the South-East, attracting both experienced and aspiring musicians from the surrounding areas.

  Established in 1982, the band boasts a full complement of 45 players which allows us to perform a wide repertoire of music, ranging from light classical and traditional music, to music from stage and screen, big band and popular standards.

  Dartford Township Choir is delighted to present the results of its latest series of workshops led by the inspirational musical director Mike King.
  
  DTC has worked with Mike King at the MJC since 2011 and we are delighted to welcome his return. He is one of the UK’s leading contemporary vocal coaches and choir leaders and as a musical director and arranger his musicianship, energy and enthusiasm are unrivalled. Mike has been involved in the music industry for over 20 years and has worked as a vocal coach on The Voice UK, helped smash a Guinness World Record by conducting 5,000 singers at Wembley Arena and directs choirs worldwide. He was a lecturer at Goldsmiths University of London for 12 years and was a guest vocal tutor at the University of East London and London Metropolitan University. He has worked with international artists including Angelique Kidjo, Ronson, Boy George, Lily Allen and Florence and the Machine. In addition to facilitating vocal workshops and masterclasses nationally and internationally he organises luxury singing holidays worldwide. Mike has also established a charitable foundation aimed at making a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities through music. www.mycoolking.com
