BEN BEDDOES BIG BAND
The Ben Beddoes Big Band rehearse weekly at The MJC and Gig at a variety of venues on a regular basis.
With a broad repertoire, we play a wide range of big band jazz from swing to Latin, plus rat pack vocals.

DARTFORD CHORAL SOCIETY
Dartford Choral Societycurrently has a membershipof around 50 amateur singers based in and around the Dartford area.
We have the full range of soprano, alto, tenor and bass voices and host quarterly concerts where we perform various choral works in local churches and chapels, or at The MJC where our rehearsals take place.
Many of our soloists are professional singers but we also aim to encourage young emerging singers by offering opportunities for them to sing at selected concerts.

DARTFORD HISTORICAL & ANTIQUARIAN SOCIETY
In 1964, the Society was renamed the Dartford Historical and Antiquarian Society and in the same year published the first of its Newsletters. These are still published each year and include a varied selection of historical and archaeological research articles. The current Newsletter is available at Dartford Library.
All that is required to become a member is an interest in the history of our locality. Included in the Annual Subscription are a winter programme of lectures and the Newsletter.
Lectures take place on the 3rd Friday of each month.
A social outing using own transport to a local place of interest and coach outings are arranged for the summer months.

The 90 minutes long session consists of a mix of tournament rounds as well as lessons on tactics, strategy and at times simply learning the basics!

The DSO was founded 80 years ago in 1946 as a music appreciation society, and that spirit of a shared experience - listening to and playing popular orchestral works - is still at the core of the Orchestra today.The orchestra comprises mostly amateur players, some teaching professionals, and a few members who make a living from playing.The DSO has been the resident orchestra at the Mick Jagger Centre since the centre opened in 2000 and continues to produce four concerts a year with leading soloists and guest conductors.Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at 7:45pm. -

The local group meeting for the Bexley and Dartford Branch offers support for people with Parkinson's and their families, friends or carers.

45 minute Pilates class. Building on both suppleness and strength using mat work and small equipment (just bring a hand towel for comfort) our Pilates class is an excellent opportunity to give you better control and balance and help prevent strain and injury caused by tension and posture issues. A strong core and better self awareness of both our strengths and our weaknesses allows us to move and use our bodies far more easily throughout our daily lives.

Explore fine art mediums such as painting, drawing and sculpting through structured and fun-filled classes for children.
During your weekly art classes, you will be introduced to a wide range of fine art materials and techniques to explore artistic interests, promote self-expression and pursue creative aspirations.
Classes will be structured to accommodate specific age groups. Currently, I am conducting 3 weekly classes for age group 7-9 years, 9-11 years and 12-15 years.
12-15 age group consists of slightly more advanced classes for students seeking a more dedicated approach to art.
Each student will be provided with a range of materials, including a sketchbook to explore and develop ideas through free hand drawing, painting and collage.
We will explore the works of historical and contemporary artists and craftspeople and create artworks inspired by them.
Each class runs for 1 hour.
