My exhibition showcases astrophotography images taken mostly from my back garden in Dartford. Even though light pollution is extremely high in this area, it’s still possible to capture beautifully detailed images of the wonders of the cosmos through use of specialised filters and advanced processing techniques. I’ve always been fascinated with space and bought a telescope during lockdown, initially to view the moon and planets of the solar system. I progressed from visual observing into astrophotography and over time have captured many deep space objects including emission nebulae, globular clusters, supernova remnants and even distant galaxies. Each new image is a thrill for me to capture, and I hope you enjoy my unique views of the universe as much as I enjoy taking them.
